Anna came over on Saturday morning for a play date and she and Claire decided they'd like to have a tea party. I put out the supplies and they set it all up how they wanted it. They sat there for an HOUR pouring water, nibbling on cookies, and "feeding" their dolls (the one doll has a magnetic tongue, which would stick to the spoon- this resulted in bouts of hysteria from the girls :)). It was so cute to watch, and I adore their girly-ness!
So far, this harvesting season is definitely in the top rankings for "busiest fall ever". It has been non-stop since the boys started at the beginning of October....no rain, no breakdowns- nothing but go, go, go! Which is good and bad. Good, because they are getting so much done and Ben will be close to finished by the time baby arrives. Bad, because the kids and I rarely see him (and I feel like a 36 week pregnant single mom). So, we enjoy our nights to take dinner out to the field and spend some time riding with him in the combine. I came across this verse the other day and thought it was fitting: "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not". Galations 6:9
Halloween is such a fun holiday. Max and I went in to Claire's class to help with their party and then watched her march in a parade with the whole school. Later we met up with the Kramer crew for our annual Pizza Hut dinner followed by trick or treating. Max absolutely LOVED trick-or-treating this year...walking up to each door, saying trick or treat, and showing me the candy he received. He could have continued this for hours I think! Such a fun day...
