Saturday was a wonderful day. The sun was shining, it was warm enough to play outside, and it felt like spring was finally here (our temperatures are returning to the 30's and 40's this week, however, with a chance of snow. Wahhhhh). To celebrate our first "spring-like" day, we decided to dye Easter eggs.
Claire had her first playdate with a friend from school last Saturday. She was just a tad excited. There were welcome signs and drawings all over the house, and two little faces eagerly watching for a car to come down the driveway. They had a great time together, and even included Max in their activities. I loved listening to their imaginations as they played house, school, and barbies. I remember those days of childhood bliss- and sometimes wish I could go back to it just for a little while. :)
On Friday evening we headed next door to my brother-in-law's house for an indoor swim. Yep, they have a pool and hot tub inside their house! The kids had a great time swimming with their cousins-even though it was only 20 degrees outside.
I saw this on the wonderful world of Pinterest the other day and was really encouraged by it. I have to admit that there are times when it seems like none of my prayers are being heard, and the future is so uncertain, but God is always there. Our times are in His hands, and I'm thankful for this reminder to always put my trust in Him.
