Mother's Day

My little Mother's Day photo shoot didn't exactly go as planned. It did, however, go exactly like real #momlife.

Me: Grace, come stand over here so we can take a picture

Grace: I want to stand here (notice the hands on the hips)

Me: GRACE, GET OVER HERE NOW AND SMILE

Grace: Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

You win some, you lose some. Anyway, the rest of the day was beautiful. We had our annual Mother's Day program, in which the kids were incredibly cute to watch, and the guys did all the cooking and cleaning (also, Grace decided to be a happy girl, and that always helps). It was an enjoyable day!

Grace's class sang a song about Moses and it was basically the cutest thing ever.

Tessa

11 Months

This little girl has been making big strides lately! She has learned to roll over from her back to her stomach, and actually prefers to be on her stomach now. This has given her a little sense of freedom, and will hopefully encourage her to try an army crawl or some other type of movement. She uses both of her legs to push herself around in her walker, although she still only goes backwards. She waves bye bye and plays peek a boo. She loves to eat, and wants to try whatever I'm eating. She loves being outside, and thoroughly enjoyed her first swim in the pool the other day.

As far as her malformation goes-there are two portions, located on her back, that have been growing. For now we are just monitoring them, so I would ask you to pray that they would not continue getting larger. Other than that, miss Tessa remains happy and healthy!

May the Force Be With You

Those who know me best know that I love Star Wars. I've loved those movies ever since I was little...even decorated my room with Star Wars paraphernalia when I was a teenager (thanks for putting up with that Mom). So imagine my excitement when Max started showing an interest in Star Wars. He was home sick one day, so we watched the movies together and he absolutely loved them. And then he decided he wanted a Star Wars birthday party. And I jumped for joy.

We had a little family celebration the day of his birthday

The next day was his party. He only wanted to invite 3 boys from his class, which was perfect. I think any more crazy 7 year old boys in the house would've sent me over the edge. 😂

While we were out doing the piñata, Ben snuck in the house and dressed up as Darth Vader. When we went back inside I told the boys they needed to use their Jedi training to defeat him. Poor Ben.
