Max's Christmas Concert

Oh how I love the kids' music concerts. Max is especially fun to watch, because he is all business. He's so focused on the teacher and doing the motions, and can barely crack a smile. I think my favorite part was when he first came out and was scanning the audience for us. When he finally found us, he broke into a huge smile and gave a quick, nervous wave. Then it was back to business.
For this song, they each had a "boom whacker" (yep, that was what the music teacher called them) that they would hit at different intervals to make music. In between, they could play air guitar on it....but Max just stood there with it on his shoulder, occasionally looking in horror as the boy next to him was jamming away. I asked him why he didn't pretend he was playing the guitar and he told me "that would have been sooooooo embarrassing!"
