The fun in fall continues with some crafts/treats from the grandparents...

No, I cannot get this child to LOOK at the camera.   Drives me crazy!

Although....I will definitely take the cold over a hurricane.  My poor friends and family (and shore house) in Jersey. :(  Hope everyone survives this thing!  
Well, no hurricane winds or rain for us...just some cold weather.  And during cold weather, there's nothing quite like relaxing in the living room with a fire roaring in the fireplace.  I love that cozy feeling.  The kids helped haul in some firewood for the chilly nights ahead...

While thing 1 is off at school (and I miss her dearly),  
I do enjoy some one-on-one time with thing 2.  His favorite activity is simply driving cars around the house.  He likes to take his smaller matchbox cars and put them into a bigger car, and push it around.  Today's activities included the usual car driving, as well as pushing a dump truck back and forth between us, and racing zhu zhu pets.  I really do love getting to spend this time with my little boy and see the pure joy on his face as we play his favorite activities together, just the two of us.  

I love worn, distressed, antique-y looking furniture/decor.  I think it's so beautiful...and I love the fact that if my kids happen to run into it with their toys and scratch it up, it's ok because it will just blend in with the other scratches!  
There is an amazing place nearby that sells all kinds of this type of decor.  I absolutely love this place.  I love the look of it, I love how they have it decorated with cafe lights strung up everywhere, I love that they serve warm apple cider while you shop, and I love that it all happens inside a barn.  Take a look...
