Back to School

Monday was back to school day. The kids got to visit their classrooms, meet their teachers, and unload all their supplies.
Grace doesn't start until Tuesday, but Claire and Max are all ready and excited to be back with their friends today.
As for me, I'm not quite ready for that early morning rush or packing lunches every day.
Mrs. Landers is our favorite. Claire and Max both had her for Pre-K and we couldn't love her more. Grace is going to have the best year in her room- and she cannot wait to begin!
This is how Max felt when he realized all his best buddies are in his class. And sitting next to him. And his locker neighbors.
His teacher is Miss Steere, who Claire had for both 3rd and 4th grades. She's back teaching 3rd, and Max is so happy to be in her class. Here's hoping he and his band of buddies don't drive her crazy with their endless energy. 😉
As for Claire, her room made me a little sad. Apparently 5th grade is basically high school- open desks with no storage (so everything is kept in your locker), no cute decorations, and lockers with combinations.
She's still excited, though, which I'm thankful for. I guess they have to grow up, no matter how hard we try to push it off.
Praying they have a successful first day, and a fantastic year!
