Back to School Family Fun Day

26 August

Two years ago we started a new tradition: Back to School Family Fun Day.  A day for us all to be together for one last hurrah before school starts.
The last two years we went to the children's museum first, but the kids decided they wanted to do Ninja/U this year instead.
In my last post I shared a video of Grace finally conquering this wall, and how proud she was of her accomplishment.
Now she keeps talking about how she's going to make it up the 10 next time. 🤦🏽‍♀️😂 #goalgetter

Scott Behrends is one of the owners of Ninja/U, and he's also competed on America Ninja Warrior.  We've all watched him compete, and the kids were so excited when he stopped by the gym while we were there. He'll be competing on the live shows sometime in the coming weeks and we're all excited to cheer him on!
Ben also enjoyed asking him for some tips and tricks.😉

Next the kids chose to eat at Famous Dave's where Max demolished some ribs.
Then we headed to the race track, and it was Tessa's first time riding.
As you can see, SHE. LOVED. IT.
She loved watching (and passing) Ben and the kids.
And I'd just like to add that we were the winners. 😏

Poor Max still isn't old enough for the big cars yet, so we all lapped him several times.
There was also lots of jumping

 and laser tag.

And we ended our fun day with icee's.

We've all come to really enjoy this day, and it's such a nice way to end summer and prepare ourselves for another school year.

You can check out previous family fun days here and here 😊
