Favorite clothing item:
Even though it's the end of summer, this tee is $10 right now, and it's just too cute. And I don't know about you, but I just wanna have sun all year long.  Even when it's -50 in February.

Favorite food:
I love pulled pork.  I also love getting dinner ready in the morning and then not having to worry about it again until right before dinner time. This recipe is tried and true, simple, and oh so good.

Ingredients

  • 4 lb boneless pork loin trimmed if desired
  • 1 cup apple juice (or soda)
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • teaspoon dried mustard
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce as desired
Instructions

  • Place pork loin in a 4-6 quart crock pot and pour in apple juice.
  • Combine seasoning salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, mustard, onion powder and black pepper and sprinkle half over pork loin. Turn and sprinkle on the remaining half.
  • Cover and cook on low until fall apart tender -- 8 to 10 hours.
  • Shred with two forks, discarding excess fat. Toss in remaining juices and coat with barbecue sauce as desired. Serve on hamburger buns.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Favorite moment:
Every time we go to Ninja/U, Grace attempts to make it up this wall.  She also talks about it all the time in between- how the next time she goes, she'll be a little bit bigger and she'll finally be able to "beat that wall".
Well, she finally did it yesterday and it was everything she had ever dreamed of.  My favorite part was right here- when she said "I can't believe I do it, I'm so proud of myself".  She is my most determined child, and refuses to give up on something- which can be challenging at times.  But it's also pretty amazing to watch her work and work and work at something and then be so proud when she finally accomplishes her goal.
